plants, until the big day finally arrived.
According to Maddie: One Saturday afternoon my sisters and I, along with our dad, planted some seeds. We took care of them and watered them for almost 6 weeks. The, we decided to have a plant sale. My sisters helped me make signs and Dad helped hang them up around our neighborhood. On Saturday, March 31st, we had our sale. We started at 8:00 and went until noon. We sold beans, zinnias, cosmos, cabbages, marigolds, tomoatoes, and spinach. In the end, we had $42.80.
Laurel’s Note: We had a plan to make money. We were gonna sell our plants! We grew plants. First, we watered them, gave them water and just gave them sun.
From Dad: Maddie kept asking me, “Dad, did you list the sale on Craigslist? Don’t you think we should have advertised more?” She was right! Next time, we’ll do more marketing. We had too many plants left over, so we’ll have another sale at the end of April.
